Joint Indo Nepal Army Expedition to Mount Everest(8848M)-2013:
Nk Hazari Lal, Instructor JIM&WS was deputed for the said expeditionand the individual summitted the peak on 20^th May 2013 at 0500 hours. He was the first Instructor from the Institute to have summitted Mt. Everest and furled the Indian and Institutes flag on top.

Mt Stok Kangri (6135M) & Mt Golab Kangri (6025M):
JIM&WS, Nunwan, Pahalgam organises regular expeditions for its Advance Mountaineering Courses as a part of course height gain excercise. The expeditions are planned and organized to assess preparedness, planning and exposure to the trainees to Scale above 6000m peak.

JIM - NIM Mt Everest Expedition (8848.86M)-2021:
Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering & Winter Sports (JIM&WS), Nunwan, Pahalgam in collaboration with Nehru INstitute of Mountaineering (NIM) Uttarkashi undertook a joint Expedition to Mt Everest in 2021. As a part of acclimatization, on 25^thApril, early morning at 0200hrs team started climbing,the climbing was very difficult due to the two days continuous fresh snowfall but with the team's never give up attitude and high level of motivation, the team successfully summitted Mt Lobuche (20,070 ft) around 0805hrs and hurls India Army and Institute flag on top of the summit and after spending some time at the summit climbed down to the base camp.

On the evening of 31^st May at 2030hrs the team started their final climbto Everest summit, team reached on top of the Summit of Mt Everest at 01 June 2021 at 0620hrs and hoisted National, Army, NIM and JIM flags on top of the world and created a history where in two National MOuntaineering Institutes of the Nation summitted Mt Everest together and displayed exemplery mental, physical strength and determination in withstanding one of the most hostil;e weather conditions at Everest.
